Time Flies

I am unsure where last year went, and a week seems to pass by in the blink of an eye these days.
When we are young, we want to get to certain ages to do certain things, and time seems to drag. It’s definitely true what they say about time speeding up as you get older—the old toilet roll analogy!

Humans have used so many different ways to measure periods of time before the invention of “clockwork”—the sun or the moon, grains of sand in hourglasses, water clocks, graduated candles, etc.—then digital clocks, and now we have incredibly accurate atomic clocks!

I still like the sound of a clock ticking myself and seeing hands slowly moving around the face of a clock. That said, I have a smartwatch with all that digital stuff going on! 😃

I am sure we all have favourite times in our lives that we would like to revisit. Or even interesting times outside of our own lifetime.

If you had a time machine that could go backwards or forwards, would you go into the past or dare to look at what the future holds?
I don’t really like surprises, so I would go backwards—probably first to my childhood time in the 70s, and then right back to the time just before humans arrived on the scene to see how the world looked then. And I might even risk a visit to the time of the dinosaurs!
